Doesn't need to be fast, but it couldn't hurt. I'll likely go for a round-headlights Triumph Speed Triple, as I've ridden one and loved it, but these old bikes are so gorgeous.

Yes on the Speed Triple. I'm planning on getting one eventually.

Good choices!
I would obviously like the newest model as well, but I love the older styling of the rounded headlights. The new ones look like some sort of insect.

I know Honda has made a few classic UJM styled bikes not too long ago with the CB1100 topping the list, but try looking at an old CBX for uniqueness. Plus...

I don't like the looks of the new headlights either, IMO the '99-'08s were the coolest. Although I don't think it's too hard to change the headlights.

Yeah; a few friends here at work have bikes (mostly Harleys or similar, but whatever) and they said headlight swaps aren't generally too challenging.

If I wasn't so lovestruck with the old Sprint ST 1050, a Speed Triple would be my next best thing.

Sad day; youtube is blocked at work. I'll look when I get home, though.

If I were to own any motorcycle it would have to be a Moto Guzzi v7.

My father is selling a 1971 BSA. He hasn't got very far along (He's trying to offload vehicles, and just sold the 2000 Toyota Sienna), but when he posts his ad, I will let you guys know. It is in "barn find" condition. Ran when parked. It was parked around 1985 I think.

The dual-circle headlights are the best. I'm a Buell fan, so I'll probably pick up an XB12S someday, but a Speed Triple would be oh-so-sweet!

Have you ever heard the phrase "Shoot for the moon, if you miss you'll land among the stars"?
Other than being a stupid thing to say (you'd run out of oxygen and die, unless you were on a free return trajectory and managed to not bork that up, but I digress), I'm pretty sure this is what caused that saying.

Those look sweet. I've never ridden one or anything, but there's someone at my local grocery store who rides one and parks it out on the edge of the lot. Gorgeous bike.

Go for an old BMW K bike. I've got both the K75s and the K100Rs (16v) and it's awesome. Reliable fun riding and parked up everyone comes and talks to you.

I had an orange M2 Cyclone with the same 1200cc engine, although mine was carbureted. That little thing was a torque monster and a pure dream to ride
